Erie skates past Glenwood Springs with ease

The Erie Tigers posted their biggest win since November 28, 2023 on Saturday. They breezed by Glenwood Springs on the road to the tune of 57-25. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Glenwood Springs is ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Juliet Slater went supernova for Erie, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Slater has scored all season. Maddie Hartel was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Erie's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Glenwood Springs, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight at home.

Erie will take on Loveland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Loveland comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Glenwood Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Battle Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Battle Mountain is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
