Basketball Recap: St. Anthony's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

St. Anthony lost against Saint Mary's Hall back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Anthony Yellowjackets took a 47-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Mary's Hall Barons.

Saint Mary's Hall's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddie Florence, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Florence is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Genesis Edwards Johnson, who went 8 for 20 en route to 16 points and seven boards.

St. Anthony's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-7. As for Saint Mary's Hall, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-10.

St. Anthony will face off against San Antonio Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they will take on St. Joseph Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
