The Stroudsburg Mountaineers will challenge the Delaware Valley Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Stroudsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Stroudsburg is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Pleasant Valley just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 8-7.

Dorothy Elko and Madison Perez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Elko went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Perez got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Trotter, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Delaware Valley fell victim to Abington Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Delaware Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Stroudsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.

Stroudsburg skirted past Delaware Valley 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Do the Mountaineers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
