It was a good run, but Magnolia unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Tomball Cougars, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-8.

Danica Beveridge paced Magnolia's offense, picking up nine kills. Beveridge got some help from Jilian Edwards and her 12 assists.

Gemma Hopkins was a one-woman wrecking crew For Tomball. as she had 12 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Hopkins has posted since back in September.

Magnolia's defeat dropped their record down to 23-11. As for Tomball, they pushed their record up to 35-6 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Magnolia has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Magnolia West on the 21st. As for Tomball, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Klein Cain on the 21st.
