Softball Game Preview: Denton Broncos vs. Grapevine Mustangs

It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when Denton Broncos duke it out with Grapevine Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Denton has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.

Denton lost 9-1 to Richland on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Grapevine's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 7-4 to Argyle.

Bella MacMahon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Gisele Rayngay was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Ashley Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Denton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for Grapevine, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
