Lewis County lost against Columbia Central on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Lewis County ultimately came up short, they really made Columbia Central work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 26-24.

Leading Columbia Central to victory were Allie Hill and Gabby Bolton. Hill had four digs and two aces, while Bolton had eight digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Bolton a new career-high.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Columbia Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Lewis County will head out on the road to challenge Perry County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbia Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Columbia Academy on the 23rd.
