Softball Game Preview: Toronto Red Knights vs. Wellsville Tigers

The Toronto Red Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Wellsville Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Toronto is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Toronto came up short against Indian Creek on Monday, falling 16-3. The Red Knights haven't had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Toronto saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylee Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Wellsville challenged Heartland Christian on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Lions by a score of 15-11. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Wellsville's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Toronto, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Toronto took their victory against Wellsville in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
