Football Recap: Oceanside Collegiate Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus Loris

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oceanside Collegiate Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Loris Lions 38-7. The Landsharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Terence Johnson had another great game (as he tends to do), picking up 139 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 64 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Aiden Manavian, who threw for 276 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points on average over those games. As for Loris, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.

Looking ahead, Oceanside Collegiate Academy will challenge Belton-Honea Path at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Landsharks will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Loris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
