Football Recap: Purchase Line Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Purchase Line played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Homer-Center Wildcats, falling 27-7. The Red Dragons gained 126 more yards on the day, but it was the Wildcats that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Purchase Line still got an impressive performance from Victor Bartlebaugh, who rushed for 141 yards and one TD.

Homer-Center's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Arone led the charge by rushing for 108 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 40 yards and one touchdown. Arone has become a key player for the Wildcats: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Connor Deyarmin was another key player, rushing for 78 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Homer-Center, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2.
