Basketball Recap: Newnan Comes Up Short

After soaring to 73 points the game before, Newnan was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by the Langston Hughes Panthers 71-24. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Newnan's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Langston Hughes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Newnan nor Langston Hughes have any future games scheduled.
