Basketball Recap: Highland Home's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Highland Home had won five straight games and JaNya Foster did her part to make it six on Saturday. The Highland Home Flying Squadron claimed a resounding 51-15 win over the Blacksher Bulldogs thanks in part to Foster, who posted 23 points and eight steals. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aniach Rodgers, who scored seven points and seven steals. Highland Home is 12-5 when Rodgers posts five or more steals, but 2-3 otherwise.

Highland Home pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.1 points. As for Blacksher, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Highland Home has already played their next contest, a 53-29 win against Calhoun on the 27th. As for Blacksher, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 41-28 victory against Central on the 27th.
