Volleyball Recap: Ponte Vedra Gets the Win

Ponte Vedra won the last time they faced Gulf Breeze and things went their way on Friday too. The Ponte Vedra Sharks walked away with a 3-1 win over the Gulf Breeze Dolphins. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

The victory didn't come easy: Gulf Breeze scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 25-20.

Ponte Vedra's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Gulf Breeze, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1.

Coming up, Ponte Vedra will face off against Beachside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Beachside's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Gulf Breeze, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Nease on the 8th.
