Cherry Creek entered their tilt with Overland on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 71-59 victory over the Overland Trailblazers. The Bruins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

Cherry Creek got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braelynn Barnett out in front who went 8 for 14 en route to 17 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aneya Chambers, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Cherry Creek has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Overland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Cherry Creek will head out to square off against Eaglecrest at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cherry Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Eaglecrest likes a good challenge. Overland has already played their next contest (against Arapahoe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
