Baseball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Becker Bulldogs. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Becker, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Branch is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Francis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Becker will challenge rival Monticello at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
