Soccer Game Preview: Battle Mountain vs. Glenwood Springs

The Battle Mountain Huskies are taking a road trip to challenge the Glenwood Springs Demons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenwood Springs took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Battle Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Battle Mountain's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Summit.

Meanwhile, Glenwood Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Summit. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Glenwood Springs couldn't quite close it out.

Battle Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 6-3-3. As for Glenwood Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Battle Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Glenwood Springs in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
