Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sage Creek). They were the clear victors by a 17-3 margin over the Fallbrook Warriors on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bobcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Kellen Barclay-McCall looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, Sage Creek let Elijah Stephens and Max Biehl run wild. Stephens went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs, while Biehl went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI Stephens has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Danny O'Bryan, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Sage Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sage Creek now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fallbrook, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sage Creek will face off against Arapahoe at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sage Creek's pitchers better be ready for this one: Arapahoe has averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Fallbrook, they will take on Ramona at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Ramona's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Fallbrook's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
