Softball Recap: Quantico Drops Season-High Score on Foxcroft

Quantico's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past Foxcroft 32-17. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Quantico got a massive performance out of Riley Nicholson, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave Nicholson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Farnsworth, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Quantico always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .809. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Quantico back to even at 2-2-1. As for Foxcroft, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Quantico will be playing in front of their home fans against Seton at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Conquistadors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.2 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. Foxcroft will be paying especially close attention to Quantico's matchup: after Quantico faces off against Seton, they'll take on Foxcroft again at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
