Football Recap: Wellington Finds Playoff Glory Versus Palm Beach Gardens

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wellington had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-13 win over the Palm Beach Gardens Gators. The Wolverines have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.

The critical scores for Wellington came from Lyan Hernandez, Mia Ciezak, Avery Schroeder, Angelia Bistrong, and Emma Segfeldt.

The victory (which was Wellington's third in a row) raised their record to 13-1. As for Palm Beach Gardens, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wellington will square off against Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 6.1 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they will take on Jupiter at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Gators 10.7, the Warriors 6.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
