Basketball Recap: Pineville Comes Up Short

Pineville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-32 to the Avoyelles Charter Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Vikings are ranked 35th).

Pineville's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Avoyelles Charter, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pineville will welcome Airline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Avoyelles Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against JS Clark Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m.
