Baseball Recap: Fairfield Extends Winning Streak to 11

Fairfield lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mexia, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Black Cats on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Fairfield's 11th in a row) raised their record to 13-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Mexia, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Coming up, Fairfield will head out to challenge Ferris at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mexia, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Buffalo at 7:00 p.m.
