Bishop McGuinness had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Jackson Day Mariners with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-44. The Villains pushed the score to 58-33 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mariners cut but never quite recovered from.

Bishop McGuinness was led to victory by Claire Sullivan and Adelaide Jernigan. Sullivan shot 50% from the field to rack up 20 points and three steals, while Jernigan posted 24 points and seven boards. The matchup was Jernigan's 27th in a row with at least 17 points. Morgan Aho was another key player, putting up three points and 13 rebounds.

Bishop McGuinness pushed their record up to 25-2 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.8 points. As for Jackson Day, their loss dropped their record down to 17-11.
