Basketball Game Preview: Warren Township Blue Devils vs. Barrington Fillies/Broncos

The Warren Township Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Barrington Fillies/Broncos at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Warren Township came up short against Mundelein and fell 37-30. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Mustangs are ranked 163rd).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Barrington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 40-30 win over Conant on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Fillies/Broncos as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Barrington's win bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Warren Township, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Warren Township, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-43 loss to Barrington in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Warren Township avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
