Soccer Recap: Foundation Academy Comes Up Short

Foundation Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to the Windermere Wolverines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Foundation Academy of the 6-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.

Foundation Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2-2. As for Windermere, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-0-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Foundation Academy will take on Mater Brighton Lakes Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Foundation Academy will be up against Mater Brighton Lakes Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.25 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Windermere, they will challenge Olympia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Windermere's defense better be ready for this one: Olympia have averaged an impressive 5 goals per game this season.
