Recap: Wardlaw Hartridge Rams vs. Metuchen Bulldogs
This season hasn't been kind to the Wardlaw Hartridge Rams, who are still winless after their 16th contest. They had to suffer through a rough 59-28 loss at the hands of Metuchen. Wardlaw Hartridge has struggled against Metuchen recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Ben Santus was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals for Metuchen. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Woods, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Wardlaw Hartridge's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Metuchen, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Wardlaw Hartridge will look to defend their home court on Monday against Spotswood at 5:30 p.m. Spotswood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully Wardlaw Hartridge likes a good challenge. As for Metuchen, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Kennedy Memorial at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Kennedy Memorial has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 18.
