Basketball Recap: Mattamuskeet Takes a Loss

Mattamuskeet lost against Hobgood Charter back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The contest between the Mattamuskeet Lakers and the Hobgood Charter Raiders didn't end well, with the Mattamuskeet Lakers falling 54-38. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hobgood Charter was led to victory by Khrie Rascoe and Hudson Roberson. Rascoe went 11 for 19 on his way to 23 points and three steals, while Roberson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most boards Roberson has posted since back in February of 2024. Carlos Martinez was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Mattamuskeet's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hobgood Charter, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6.

Mattamuskeet has already played their next matchup, a 40-34 loss against Southside on the 16th. As for Hobgood Charter, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 53-51 victory against Columbia on the 17th.
