Baseball Recap: Lakewood Park Christian Comes Up Short

Lakewood Park Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Wayne Crusaders. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-5 to Fort Wayne Crusaders when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakewood Park Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Stoll, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Stoll has hit this season. Carson Lyons was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Lakewood Park Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Fort Wayne Crusaders, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakewood Park Christian will venture away from home to face off against Fort Wayne Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Wayne Crusaders, they will square off against Fort Wayne Canterbury at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
