Basketball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta lost against Blair-Taylor back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Augusta Beavers came up short against the Blair-Taylor Wildcats, falling 83-59. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while the Wildcats are ranked 83rd).

Augusta's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Blair-Taylor, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Augusta will face off against Whitehall at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Augusta's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for Blair-Taylor, they will take on De Soto at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
