Soccer Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, Washington finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the Independence Patriots, falling 8-0. The Rams have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Washington's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Independence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season.
