Menard hadn't done well against Medina recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Yellowjackets walked away with a 7-2 win over the Bobcats. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Bobcats last Tuesday, they had to take a 15-5 loss.

Menard is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Medina, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-3.

Coincidentally, Menard and Medina will both be playing Leakey the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
