Basketball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 73-36 loss at the hands of the Huron River Rats. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while the River Rats are ranked 12th).

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Huron, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will face off against Dundee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe is facing Dundee at the right time seeing as Dundee is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Huron has already played their next contest (against University of Detroit Jesuit), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
