Softball Game Preview: Dawson Eagles vs. Pasadena Memorial Mavericks

The Dawson Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Dawson came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Dobie, falling 10-4. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Pasadena Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Manvel on Tuesday and fell 13-12. Pasadena Memorial has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pasadena Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Dawson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Dawson came out on top in a nail-biter against Pasadena Memorial when the teams last played back in February, sneaking past 18-16. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dawson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
