Basketball Recap: Lubbock Comes Up Short

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 63-37 to the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Westerners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-46 back in December of 2024.

Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Lubbock-Cooper, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-10.

Lubbock will take on Palo Duro at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lubbock-Cooper, they will face off against Tascosa at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lubbock-Cooper knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Tascosa likes a good challenge.
