Basketball Recap: Wagner Comes Up Short

After flying high against Port Richmond last Friday, Wagner came back down to earth. The Wagner Falcons lost 53-32 to the Brooklyn Law & Tech Jets on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Jets are ranked 70th).

Wagner's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Brooklyn Law & Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cardinal Spellman the next time they take the court. Wagner will head out to face Cardinal Spellman on Sunday, while Brooklyn Law & Tech will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
