Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mildred). They never let the Wortham Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mildred is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. Wortham is on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mildred will challenge Cayuga at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Wortham will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Frankston at 4:30 p.m. on March 25th.
