Football Recap: Scotland/Menno Comes Up Short

If Scotland/Menno was riding high fresh off their 56-0 takedown of Colome last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trappers had to suffer through a 68-14 loss at the hands of the Avon Pirates. The Trappers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Scotland/Menno still got an impressive performance from Hunter Clark, who picked up 118 receiving yards and two TDs. The Trappers are 3-1 when Clark posts two or more receiving touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

The loss snapped Scotland/Menno's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for Avon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Scotland/Menno has already played their next contest, a 64-16 defeat against Alcester-Hudson on the 17th. As for Avon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 58-8 loss against Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy on the 17th.
