Soccer Recap: Douglas Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Torrington

Douglas faced Torrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Bearcats fell just short of the Trailblazers by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Torrington this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 two weeks ago.

Douglas' goal came courtesy of Matt Kayser, which was the first he's scored this season.

Douglas dropped their record down to 4-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Torrington, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-3.

Coming up, Douglas will face off against Rawlins at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Torrington has already played their next matchup (against Buffalo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
