Baseball Recap: Minisink Valley Warriors vs. Valley Central Vikings
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Minisink Valley ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Valley Central Vikings, sneaking past 4-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Christopher McCauley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. McCauley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
