Volleyball Recap: Buena Starts off Right with Win over Rincon/University + How To Watch

Buena gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Rincon/University Rangers 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Colts, who have now won four matches in a row dating back to last season.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (102-101) Buena actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 15-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Gracelyn Kelsay paced Buena's offense, picking up 19 kills. Kelsay got some help from Cassandra Comolli and her 22 assists. Madison Forsberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Buena didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Sabino on the 29th. Hopefully Rincon/University paid attention to the Colts' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Colts at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
