Softball Recap: Marquette Crusaders vs. St. Bede Bruins

Marquette extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 13-4 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Bede Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 4-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Hunter Hopkins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-5 with two triples, three runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
