Soccer Game Preview: Saint James vs. Prattville

Saint James hasn't had much luck against Prattville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Saint James Trojans will head out to face off against the Prattville Lions at 7:00 p.m. Saint James will be strutting in after a victory while Prattville will be coming in after a defeat.

Prattville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Saint James really gets things going. Saint James' defense stepped up to hand Prattville Christian Academy an 8-0 shutout last Thursday. The Trojans have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Saint James hit Prattville Christian Academy with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Atticus Clements (3), Grant Phillips (2), Dylan Hines (2), and Nate Searor.

Meanwhile, Prattville came up short against Chelsea on Thursday, falling 4-1. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Saint James' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Prattville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Saint James suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Prattville when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can Saint James avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
