Baseball Recap: Portland Has No Trouble Against Cane Ridge

Portland got themselves on the board against Cane Ridge on Friday, but Cane Ridge never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 11-0 win. The Panthers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

Isaiah Patton was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Cayden Lane was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Portland has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Cane Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portland will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cane Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against McGavock at 4:00 p.m.
