Basketball Recap: Jesuit Takes a Loss

If Jesuit was riding high fresh off their 53-31 takedown of Central Catholic last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jesuit Crusaders lost to the West Linn Lions on the road by a 59-44 margin on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Crusaders of the 43-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Leading West Linn to victory were Kaylor Buse and Reese Jordan. Buse went 8 of 15 en route to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals, while Jordan dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards. The match was Buse's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ayla Arnold was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Jesuit now has a losing record at 5-6. As for West Linn, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jesuit will head out to take on Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for West Linn, they are taking a road trip to challenge St. Mary's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
