Just two weeks removed from the holiday season, this may be the most wonderful time of the year when it comes to high school basketball.

Cheesy lead, but the action will speak for itself this weekend at several big time tournaments and showcases around the country.

Here's a look at what we'll have our eye on:

Hall of Fame lineup at the Spalding Hoophall Classic
Staged in a special setting for high school basketball at Blake Arena in Springfield, Mass., the Classic will feature six games involving nationally-ranked teams and one other – Huntington St. Joseph Prep (Huntington, W.Va.) vs. Our Savior New American (Centereach, N.Y.) – that may serve as a Top 25 play-in. Key matchups include No. 1 Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) vs. No. 13 Stevenson (Lincolnshire, Ill.); No. 4 Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.) vs. No. 19 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.); No. 3 Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) vs. No. 10 Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, Calif.) and No. 6 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) vs. No. 11 Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Cleveland, Ohio). No. 2 Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) and No. 22 Simeon (Chicago) will also be in action. See the complete schedule here.

Bass Pro brings big time to Missouri
Last year's championship game at the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Mo., was played in front of 10,000 fans and a CBS Sports Network national television audience. Making its first trip to the event, Oak Hill Academy should help keep JQH Arena on the campus of Missouri State University packed once again. No. 8 Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, N.C.) and a third Top 10 team in Bishop O'Dowd will join Steve Smith's Warriors in the eight team field. CBS Sports Network will broadcast both semifinals Friday night (9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. EST) and the championship game on Saturday (10 p.m. EST).

Flyin' to the Hoop full of stars
Top-ranked Findlay Prep and No. 12 St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, Ohio) are among the power programs in action at the annual Flyin' to the Hoop showcase in Kettering, Ohio. Intriguing matchups include Luke Kennard and Franklin (Ohio) vs. Montrose Christian (Rockville, Md.) and Northland (Columbus, Ohio) vs. Caleb Swanigan and Homestead (Fort Wayne, Ind.). Josh Jackson and DeAndre Ayton, arguably the top prospects in the 2016 and 2017 classes, respectively, will also make appearances. See the complete schedule here.

Whopper of a field in Erie
No. 24 Pope John XXIII (Sparta, N.J.) joins Cathedral Prep (Erie), Constitution (Philadelphia) and St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) in the 32nd edition of the Burger King Classic in Erie, Pa. The combined record of the four teams in the field is 31-4.

Looking local
Must-see matchups aren't confined to cities named Springfield this week. The Wally Keller Classic in Punta Gorda, Fla., includes Montverde Academy taking on MaxPreps Holiday Classic runner-up Pebblebrook (Mableton, Ga.) and Gibbs (St. Petersburg, Fla.) before heading to the Spalding Hoophall Classic. The Dan Finn Classic in Jersey City, N.J., pits St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.) against longtime rival The Patrick School (Elizabeth, N.J.) while the MLK Classic in Seattle is headlined by a showdown between unbeaten No. 21 Garfield (Seattle) and formerly-ranked, one-loss Rainier Beach (Seattle).
