Preview: Sesser-Valier Red Devils vs. Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes
Sesser-Valier is 10-0 against Zeigler-Royalton since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Sesser-Valier Red Devils will be home for the holidays to greet the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Sesser-Valier was the victim of a tough 64-44 loss at the hands of Christopher.
Even though Zeigler-Royalton has not done well against Trico recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Zeigler-Royalton pulled ahead with a 54-53 photo finish over Trico. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Zeigler-Royalton.
River Freeman was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. Peyton Foster was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Sesser-Valier's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Zeigler-Royalton, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Sesser-Valier strolled past Zeigler-Royalton in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 55-40. Does Sesser-Valier have another victory up their sleeve, or will Zeigler-Royalton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
