Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Anthony Ehly and Alex Sweetman Lead Antelope to Victory

Antelope had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Futures on Wednesday. The Titans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Knights. The Titans not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 3-0).

While Antelope won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-14.

Antelope was led to victory by Alex Sweetman and Anthony Ehly. Sweetman had three digs and two aces, while Ehly had ten assists. What's more, Ehly posted two digs, the most he's had over his last three games.

Antelope is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Futures, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antelope will head out to square off against McClatchy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Futures, they will head out on the road to take on Sacramento Waldorf at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
