Softball Recap: Bellarmine Prep Takes a Loss

Bellarmine Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 16-3 to the Central Kitsap Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

Bellarmine Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Central Kitsap, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellarmine Prep will venture away from home to face off against Mount Tahoma at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the T-Birds at the right time seeing as the T-Birds are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Central Kitsap, they will head out to square off against Gig Harbor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tides have averaged an impressive 14.6 runs per game this season.
