Basketball Recap: Cimarron Comes Up Short

Cimarron made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lakin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bluejays fell just short of the Broncs by a score of 50-47 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Broncs: they've now lost seven in a row.

Cimarron's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lakin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron will host Holcomb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakin, they and Ulysses will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Broncs will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
