Basketball Recap: Springwood Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Springwood won the last time they faced Trinity Christian and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Springwood Wildcats were the clear victor by a 70-50 margin over the Trinity Christian Eagles. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Eagles are ranked 92nd).

Springwood pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Springwood and Trinity Christian will both be playing Chambers Academy the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian will head out to face Chambers Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025, while Springwood will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
