Basketball Recap: Clarion-Limestone Finds Home Court Redemption Against Port Allegany

There's no place like home for Clarion-Limestone, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 63-53 win over the Port Allegany Gators on Friday.

Jase Ferguson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, on his way to 32 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of Clarion-Limestone's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 5-9 when he doesn't). Jesse Siwiecki was another key player, putting up ten points.

Port Allegany lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isac Amell, who en route to 15 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jarrod Funk, who to rack up 14 points and five rebounds.

Clarion-Limestone's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Port Allegany, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-11.

Coming up, Clarion-Limestone is taking a road trip to face off against Redbank Valley at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Redbank Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Clarion-Limestone likes a good challenge. Port Allegany does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
