Cypress Bay better focus on containing Cook Jamir and Alexie Nicolas as the pair were huge in Miami's win. Jamir dropped a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Nicolas went 7-for-13 on her way to 19 points in addition to eight steals and six assists. Jamir is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 50% in the last 17 games she's played. Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cypress Bay has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Miami struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cypress Bay was dealt a bruising 62-33 defeat at the hands of Miami when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Cypress Bay avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
